Thank you all for responding to the survey. Here are the results and responses for everything in survey.
1. Are you having fun?

Overall response is healthy here. We are happy with the fact that most of the team is enjoying following their passion for Cricket and being a part of a well-organized team sport.
2. Team Selection Process
Survey Comments

“Looking for more rotation and opportunity with C&D grade players too”
“Can do better to balance and give opportunities both in selection and game”
“I don’t see consistent approach in team selection. One player not performing is not treated same as another player. Also, new players are getting more and consistent opportunities which was not the case in last 2-3 seasons; one bad performance and players were getting dropped from 2-3 games until they are from core group of the players.”
Selection Management Response
We have got 33% dissatisfaction with the team selection process. Looking at the status it seems that we are on track with what we committed except for the few management people. The drop count is higher than the selection for both of them, we will definitely keep eye on this. Attaching the link to the stats page, please have a look and let us share your thought on improving the same.
3. HPTL On-Field Leadership (C/VC) & Decisions
Survey Comments

“Looking for added bonding between team players. C & VC should be all communicable between each other.”
“So far so good, the real test would be against a strong team.”
HPTL C/VC Response
We would really want comments from people who are dissatisfied with leadership.
C and VC have been collaborating and in constant touch pretty much every over. We are communicating both on and off the field.
4. SSCL On-Field Leadership (C/VC) & Decisions
Survey Comments

“I think we are missing some connect between leaders. Trusting all low profile players are equally important.”
“First SSCL season. Would like to know why we lost so many games.“
SSCL C/VC Response
Need more information on comment#1 regarding whats the disconnect between leaders. As per trusting players, everyone was given an equal opportunity to prove themselves. Even the ones termed in the comment as "low profile players" were given more chances in SSCL and promoted up the batting order to contribute.
Definitely, a learning curve as the teams in SSCL is of a higher standard. More importantly, we have been a below-par fielding side, dropping an avg. of 4-5 catches per game, which puts the opposition in the driving seat. The only way to get better would be to improve our team fitness, come for more fielding and catching drills and develop game awareness in difficult situations.
I definitely feel that better communication on the field between the C/VC along with players (bowlers and fielders) needs attention. There were times when the bowling and fielding decisions being taken were questionable but did not find time to address. This was mainly due to strict game timings being followed by umpires, who warn d us of either slow over-rate or not to change the field so frequently in an over. Hope to see improvements in engagement between leaders and fielders on the field the next season.
5. Team Management & Communications

Management Response
Need to know reasons for dissatisfaction. Players selection is not done by management, it's completely done by respective leaders and management is only seeing enough opportunity given for players' skills. Minimum gameplay opportunity per the FAQ.
6. Shall Royals Continue to play SSCL

Management Response
By far the majority is to continue SSCL from next season onwards. That is what we are going to do.

“Team environment should be warm and when you take responsibility you get rights. Work should be always rotational, so that it becomes relaxing for other who does it continuously. more participation in practice sessions.”
We do have a strong rotational policy when it comes to off-field responsibilities. But that is a work always in progress. Practice nets are booked till the end of the year for Royals each. weekend. We would plan for some focused sessions.
“Nothing to add. Management is really doing well”
Thank You!
“Batting order needs consistency. Presently no one knows the individual batting order which is a big mistake. People must know their respective role in the batting line up so they could take responsibility and play up to the requirements of the game that day.”
Thanks for the suggestion. We will take this into consideration and will post the batting order going forward. We are already doing this, but aren't posting it. We will post this going forward. Note: Batting and bowling order are subject to change based on the progress of the game
“Playing in two leagues are fine as long as we can find enough players for both games, particularly double headers. I don’t like SSCL timings. Morning games would be better in my opinion. One or two games in the afternoon is fine, but every game in the afternoon makes it hard”
We have no control over the scheduling for any of the leagues.
“Good like the way it is 👍”
Thank You!
“Consistent team selection process, clear communication with all players (not only core group) about individual role, offering needed support, and lastly bringing the culture of “it’s ok to fail” for all players and not only selective ones.”
While selecting players for a match, Captain and Vice-Captain have a utilization plan of the players. C& VC will let the player know their role before the match. Keep in mind though that the role might change as per the situation.
“Should practice more”
Practice nets are booked till the end of the year for Royals each. weekend. We would plan for some focused sessions.
