Royals making a solid statement in S13

This time, JCC's turn to realize the superiority of Royals team energy at Prairie View Cricket complex.

Even after not a so good start of losing 3 quick wickets within in first 4 overs, the Royals managed to score 166/5 in 20 overs. .

Magical Partnerships

Bowlers provided the significant winning margin again. We wrapped up the opposition under 16 overs. Azhar, Renish, and Abhas got the hard runs for the team, and Naveed Bhai's finesse shots got us to a par score.

Debutant Abhas Mishra bowled a bowler's dream spell.

Any thing under 8 Economy rate is gold at PV, most of our bowlers were in that range.

We had highs and lows in fielding; however, the highs outweighed the lows by quite a bit in the end. Naren's catch to get rid of the opposition captain lifted the team's morale on the field. We know fielding is not our strength, but IMHO we aren't that far behind either.

Off Field Contributions

Anoop's voluntary dropout to give others a chance and make it all the way to PV to support the team shows his commitment to this team.

Saurabh's consistently practicing and doing well and still sitting out.

Mahesh's showing up on the ground for every game to support and help manage various field activities + 12th man

Viren, Girish, and many others who are still to get chance but not shy to support

All of the above provides tremendous support to execute our game plans. Rest assured, the team management will be looking closely to pick people who haven't got the chance yet.

I would also like to call out Naeem and Naren, who didn't get a bowling or batting opportunity today but were fully committed to throwing their bodies on the field.

The game changing innings

I have played cricket alongside Azhar for almost a decade now, but this is by far his best innings. It was taking the team from low to high. It was joyful to see him hitting balls outside the park consistently.

Most importantly, it is good times in the buildup with a positive team spirit! Let's continue to make most of it, and I look forward to much more fun.
