Royals S13-Mid season survey response

Thank you guys for sharing your mind with Royals management and providing opportunities to work better suited to team environments.

Sharing the survey result and Royals management responses to each question. Let's get better together!!

  • 85% is healthy, though we would have liked 100% satisfaction here.

  • Fielding quality/low energy levels/Running between wickets/dropped catches - Fielding/running capability depends on individuals and their fitness levels. We expect sports enthusiasts to take care of those things not just for cricket but in general. As far as energy levels are concerned, it is about dominating the field by attacking the ball and putting the opposition under pressure. We are not there yet, and as a team, we strive to improve that aspect of our game. We are open to suggestions on how we can get players’ fielding level up.

  • Another ask was social events; this will be addressed when we do our next season Kick-Off in person.

  • “If it is for fun, all is going fine”; we expect intention here was all healthy. If not, we urge you to write direct comments.

  • The key takeaway from this was for a strong rotation policy which we have done in previous games but may not be that aggressively. In the upcoming games, we will have a more aggressive rotation policy.

  • The “thought process” for the selection is well documented in the FAQs.

ree
  • This one probably took us by surprise; the primary action item is the on-field communication.

    • On-field Communication - Planned batting and bowling order would be shared with the rest of the team. C/VC will inform on any deviation from the plan based on the situation. Improved coordination between C & VC.

    • Lengthy Write-Ups Vs. Postgame review huddle - We have seen blogs and post-game huddles serving completely two different needs. We do have post-game team gathering, probably not consistently due to the rush of leaving the field. We want to be cautious of everyone’s time, so we don’t expect players to stay on the field beyond the scheduled time, just like we don’t expect them to leave early.

C/VC has to soak in info before we can do post-game analysis based on facts vs. emotions. We will continue to have both on and off field communications as they serve different purposes.

  • Leadership team vs. Captain/VC - The purpose of having C&VC is to avoid multiple decision-makers chaos during the game. We have had five different C & VC in only a few seasons. We will continue to groom more players to take on these roles; for now, everyone should feel free to give their inputs to the C & VC. We believe the current captain and vice-captain are 100% approachable.

We would have welcomed more specific comments, but we will make some assumptions and work to get this rating higher at the end of the season as there were only a few.

  • We are glad to score 100% here; we will continue our best to have clear and transparent communication and keep everyone connected.

  • Based on the majority in polls and consensus among the management team, we have decided to enroll in one more league on top of HTPL. We will be thinking through this and share more details when we make any progress.
